Canada offers unique and life-changing experiences for both locals and international travelers, from majestic mountains to charming lakes to exciting wildlife spotting, as well as vibrant multicultural cities and impressive buildings.
But which are the most interesting destinations for travelers this summer 2023? A new study has the answer.
A recent travel trends analysis shared by Airbnb shows the top trending destinations in Canada according to recent research from users.
For the study, experts at Airbnb considered searched data entered by Canadian travelers during the first months of the year 2023 for stays with check-in dates from June 30 to July 4.
Locals are not always interested in the top destinations for international travelers —we already noticed that with the top 7 destinations in Europe for locals— and, in this case, search growth from the past few weeks can reveal fascinating insight for travelers.
These are the top 7 trending destinations in Canada according to search data gathered by Airbnb:

The Canadian province of Ontario is —without a doubt— one of the most interesting destinations for travelers in Canada, and Prince Edward County has been getting a lot of attention during the past few weeks.
In the heart of Ontario, this county is known for its vineyards and culinary experiences. Travelers enjoy wine tours and visiting historic sites and museums.
Also, the sand dunes, one of the top natural attractions here since the early 1800s, offer travelers great beach-like experiences in Lake Ontario and fascinating landscapes.
Port Colborne, Ontario
The city of Port Colborne is perfect for ship watching and other great outdoor activities.
Its waterfront parks offer visitors incredible views of Lake Erie and great summer activities, from swimming and enjoying sandy beaches to walking trails and cool picnic spots. Perfect for the summer!
