Are you planning on heading to warm beach destinations next Winter? A major American airline has created new routes to the Caribbean and Mexico you should consider.
Alaska Airlines recently announced new non-stop flights to Nassau, Los Cabos, and Puerto Vallarta from Seattle, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas.
Four new seasonal routes will take passengers from winters on the west coast to paradise destinations with turquoise waters and white sand starting this December.
Introductory fares start at a very low price, so those who book first will get the best prices.
Of course, more American airlines are offering great options to other sunny destinations this year, but here’s what travelers should know about Alaska Airlines’s new routes:
What Are The New Four Routes?
Alaska Airlines is flying to the Bahamas for the first time and mentioned it proudly in the press release: “We’ve added our first-ever flights to the Bahamas with nonstops from both Los Angeles and Seattle”.
The carrier also increased services to Mexico as customers keep showing high interest in Mexican beach destinations.

Alaska Airlines added new flights from Las Vegas to Puerto Vallarta and to Cabo San Lucas.
These will be the new itineraries:
- From Los Angeles to Nassau: The service will begin on December 15 —until April 9, 2024— and will serve travelers four times a week.
- From Seattle to Nassau: The service will begin on December 15 —until April 9, 2024— and will serve travelers three times a week.
- From Las Vegas to Cabo San Lucas: The service will begin on December 15 —until April 10, 2024— and will serve travelers four times a week.
- From Las Vegas to Puerto Vallarta: The service will begin on December 14 —until April 9, 2024— and will serve travelers four times a week.
The carrier has arranged departure times in Los Angeles and Seattle in the morning, and travelers will arrive in Nassau in the afternoon.
The flights from Las Vegas will depart late in the morning and will reach the Mexican destinations by midday.
What About The Prices?
The carrier has disclosed only the introductory fares for each route, but the special prices will only last for a limited time.
These are the introductory prices:
- Flights between Nassau and Los Angeles start at $169 one way.
- Flights between Nassau and Seattle start at $199 one way.
- Flights between Las Vegas and Cabo San Lucas start at $139 one way.
- Flights between Las Vegas and Puerto Vallarta start at $139 one way.
Alaska Airlines recommends travelers purchase tickets directly from their official site, alaskaair.com.
The new 737-9 aircraft—a recent addition to the fleet— will operate the Nassau route as these planes allow the carrier to fly longer distances, and the routes to Mexico will be operated by the aircraft E-175.
Recent Updates On Destinations
The Bahamas is always an exciting destination for American travelers as it tends to surpass expectations.
That’s why the low-cost carrier JetBlue has also included new routes to this destination, and a few months ago, Disney Cruise Line announced a new exclusive island in the country that will be added to its itinerary there next summer.
The Bahama Archipelago keeps getting more popular, and Mexico is not lagging behind either.
While there are many fascinating cities and the Mexican culture is quite vast and rich, American travelers seem to never get enough of the coast.
Alaska Airlines is adding new routes on the Pacific coast to places with spectacular resorts and beaches: the perfect winter escape!
One of these Pacific destinations, Puerto Vallarta, has been improving security to keep travelers safe and happy, making resorts the safest places in Mexico.
For those looking for luxurious experiences and a truly relaxing vacation, Los Cabos is one of the best destinations.
The Gem of the Mexican Pacific is America’s new favorite sunny destination for its stunning nature, amazing wellness centers, and great cultural experiences.
